O Senado aprovou no último dia 18, o Projeto de Lei (121-12), que trata da reestruturação do plano de carreira e cargos do magistério federal e fixa reajuste salarial. O projeto agora aguarda sanção da presidente Dilma Roussef para que comece a vigorar a partir de março de 2013.
Serão contemplados o plano de carreira e cargos do magistério superior, superior básico, técnico e tecnológico, o magistério de ensino básico federal, além da contratação de professores substitutos, visitantes e estrangeiros. Ao total o reajuste dos professores terá um impacto de R$ 3,9 bilhões no orçamento, mas será parcelado em três anos, sendo, 50% em 2013, 30% em 2014 e 20% em 2015.
